Passed today- lessons learned

I had a need to take the exam today...I had one week of preparation time:

3 days of PMBOK.. 3 chapters a day..

3 days of Rita-- read thru fast. Just read through items I wasnt familiar with or havent seen before, made notes of them while reading

Took PMStudy mock exam 1: got around 65%, didnt expect to pass today..

Practised pg 43 of PMBOK for braindump and used as my guideline for ITTO questions and formulas from cost management & procurement

passed with all MP's

I got around 5-10 questions on EV, SV's etc

1 on WBS

was shown a picture of RACI chart and asked whats wrong with teh chart...

5-10 floats critical path questions , some of them were situational

Probability & Impact matrix..

Lots and Lots of Risk Management questions....

importance of communication channels

Few ITTO questions less than 10..

Few questions regarding quality audits, assurance & control

qns about what to do regarding changes

Inputs to HR plan, team building, conflict resolution and about theory x and hygiene factors..

types of contract and which one will be good for a particular situation...

Due to my preparation I struggled with ITTO's but most of the questions needed common sense. and if I can pass with preparation, if you can put in little bit more effort than me the exam shouldnt be a problem.

If you have any questions, let me know...

Congratulations as well! You earned it!

congrats bro..have you got any proff responsibility qn in the exam?

I dont recall the questions but it wasnt more than 2 or 3 and very straight forward.

I was shown a risk register picture and asked what the picture is...

also type of risks like avoidance mitigate, etc.  I had 2 questions on the type of risk.

If anything I would read the questions two or three times.. few questions were very straightforward but tricky..

for example they might give u the values of 4 probablity*impact and in the question it will be hidden that for the lowest value you may not be able to do any mitigation.. but the question will be which one will you mitigate.. so read the questions atleast 2 times...
