Passed Today! Jan 27, 2011 - First Attempt
I am so excited - don't know how much I'll have to offer, but thought I'd post a few notes.
Sudied Rita's book and read the PMBOK twice (once just skimming and once in more detail) - also read the Glossary - very very useful for getting all those terms sorted out!
I was totally stressed and just knew I wasn't going to make it - wasn't even doing very well on most of the practice tests - probably mid 60's on Lehmann and low 70's on Head First.
To be honest I found the test more straightforward than most of the prep tests - I felt like most of the questions were very wordy on the prep tests and the answers were deliberately splitting hairs and trying to confuse you. There were a few of the "could be this, coud be that" answers on the test, but not nearly what I expected.
I actually made it through all the answers in 2 hours, left about 5 un-answered and marked about 30 for review. Took a break, came back and completed the un-answered, reviewed the marked items, then ran back through the entire test. Changed a few and debated a few, then finally hit the "end" key.
A note on the ones I left un-answered on the first past - they were all the calculation questions - I knew all the formulas so I knew I could answer them, just didn't want to stop and change focus to do the math - I wanted to get through the rest to see how good/bad I felt.
I also didn't memorize the ITTO's - had a good understanding, but didn't memorize. It probably would have made some of the questions easier/quicker to answer, but in the end I don't think it mattered.
My Results:
Initiation: Moderately Proficient
Planning: Moderately Proficient
Executing: Proficient
Monitoring and Controlling: Proficient
Closing: Proficient
Prof and Soc Resp: Moderately Proficient
Not sure how that really ranks, but I think it's actually pretty good - and I thought I was better in Planning compared to the next three.
Good Luck to everyone out there - it's achievable - not easy, but not as hard as I was expecting.

Congratulations! I am just starting my studying process
Hi--I was wondering if you could give me a general overview of how I can go about studying for this, e.g Study Material/Practice tests etc that are a must-have for preparation.
I am currently enrolled in an online program-study material to be couriered in the next few days... Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated :)
