Passed PMP today.

 It gives me a great pleasure to share to PMzilla members that I am a PMP certification holder from today onwards.

It took me three months to suffix "PMP" with my name.

My study plan went as below.

-> My intial starting point is skillsoft which helped me to gain the 40 hrs learning for PMP.
-> Then, I started with Rita and I felt it was so much of details and not able to get a single line into my mind. I searched forums and found headfirst is better to start with.
-> Started with Headfirst and completed one round
-> Then started with Rita and found the concepts were familiar, and done one round
-> Thne PMBOK 1 round
-> Attended Mock tests, and foudn my knowledge is not so efficient for exam
-> Started PMBOK again since most of the mock exam questions are taken from PMBOK.
-> Got a confidence and booked for the exam on Aug end.
-> Repeated PMBOK and Rita
-> Attened Mock tests Headfirst (81%), PMStudy (75%), Skillsoft (87%),PMPForsure (68%) and Simplilearn (77%)
-> Exam Day -> Bit tensed initially, but later found test is so easy.
-> While reaching 190th question, I started feel the happiness of getting Congratulations.
-> Most of the questions are from Quality tools, Risk tools and Conflict techniques.
-> End, Got the result 3P (Planning, Executing and Closing) and 2 MP (initiation and M&C).

My suggestion to PMP aspirants
------------------------------------------------
1. ITTO - Understand the significance of each with resepect to process.
2. Repeat PMBOK. As much as u learn, it will help you to answer so quickly.
3. Rita and Headfirst are very useful while starting after that concentrate fully on PMBOK.
4. Use Rita mainly for Motivational theories.
5. DO NOT take mock test just before a day or 2 days to exam. I suggest you do it 1 or 2 weeks before and that will help you test your knowledge. If you do it at last, there is no use for you to learn much from your mistakes.
6. 3 days before exam revise only the PMBOK, PMBOK and PMBOK.

Thanks a lot PMZilla. You helped me a lot to know more on tips and tricks.
Thank You.
