Passed PMP (June 9)

First of all thank you everyone for their support especially the lessons learnt from other users. Here's my feedback on the exam and my road to success. I got 1P and 4MP's.

Tip: Read the questions very carefully and fit that question in one of the 42 process and once you have that cleared out it would be very easy to find the correct answer by using the process of elimination. Most of the choices will have one of the risk processes as a choice because if you think of it all issues have a risk in PM world so be very careful in picking your answer.

Books: PMBOK and Rita 6th Edition (You must read the PMBOK at least twice). There were many questions directly from the PMBOK and in the manner it was explained and written in PMBOK. Rita was very helpful in clearing the concept with easy to understand text.

MOCK Exams: My mock scores were average as compared to others posted here but I was feeling confident that I can pass the exam so I appeared and did PASS. As many have already said on this Forum that mock score is a good quideline but not a definit thrershold to pass the exam. I did really bad on some and above average on others but I knew my weaknesses so I concentrated on them a lot.

PMSTUDY (free) - 77%

Headfirst - 80%

Rita Fast Track PMP - 71% and SuperPMP - 57%

CertChamp - 73%

Edwel - 64%

PMZilla 200 Tough Queston - 55%

(PMZilla 200 questions were really tough and I did not encounter such toughness in the real PMP exam. This exam did bring my moral down a bit but taught me how to read the questions very closely, word by word and try to understand the underlying key words in the questions)

10% calculation questions (Network Diagrams, CPI, SPI, EAC, communication channel)

20% ITTO (some q's were straight forward asking what is ITTO for specific process).

Good luck eveyone.

 Congrats................Keep going...........
