Passed PMP on JUly 26 (4 MPs and 1 HP)
Passed the PMP exam on July 26. I was forced to register for the exam because my eligibility was expiring on July 30. :)
The exam was tough as usual, but I answered all of the 200 qns. I skipped all networking and EV qns as "unmarked" and went through the rest of it. At the end I had 20 minutes to go through about 14 qns I skipped. I just finished the exam on time but did not have time to review some of the qns which I have marked to re-visit. As a rule of thumb I went with the most logical answer of all. I recall about 16 questions where the answer should be "Use Change Management" instead of any other options. I think I got them all correct and I got a HP in M&C.
In terms of preparation, I attended a boot camp in 2009 and bought Crosswind as part of that course. After that I got busy at work and never went about applying for the exam. Last year in June when I hered about the change in exam format by Aug 31, I applied for the exam and wanted to write it before Aug 31. Again, did not make it because of work commitments. When I got the reminder from PMI in March, I wanted to book the exam. But I didn't until June 15. I started my preparation "only 4 days" before the exam (bad). I was writing all important points instead of just reading them. Maybe I have a short term memory so I was able to pass the exam. I wouldn't suggest this as a general rule though. I used the same Crosswind book for the entire preparation. I used the PMBOK to read some of the quoted sections in the book only. Otherwise, I followed this book only for my preparation. Another rule I use when answering a question is 'use common sense' when you absolutely don't remember what PMBOK says about it. I did not practice too much on the simulation. My advise is to use the simulation test just to get an idea how the real test will feel in Computer based testing env, not as a study tool. Study from the book. The more you study the book, the better the chances for passing.
ITTOs - I did not memorize even a single one. Never tried also. It is not worth it. I knew all processes through. Formulae, they were so easy for me. I understood the concept of EV mgmt and never tried to byheart the formula. If you worked in project environments before, you can answer a lot of questions from experience.
Goo luck to all!
Joe

What exactly is an HP? I thought there are only three proficiency levels - BP, MP and P.

I feel...
I feel Diba if you see the keypad of the comp, you may find "H" exactly on top of "B". So, may be, he/she was attempting to write "BP" and it turned out to be "HP". Unless he/she means "Highest Proficient" or something of the ilk...
Of course, the person would guide us better.

Wow, 2nd person today who says did not memorize ITTO, which is good thing . Joe seems like you have hard core PM experience, since you also say you did not memorize formulas.
Congratulations on you PMP
