Passed PMP on first attempt !

Guys, I have passed PMP yesterday with 5 p’s...Attempt 1.Allow me to share my experience over last 3 months of preparation.

How it happened ..

Pre - Preparation
-Obtained PDU points from PM Prep cast online on Oct 10’th , 2014.
-Submitted PMP application form on the same day & purchased PMBOK guide on my kindle on Oct 12'th .I selected exam date as 29'th Dec
-Booked flight tickets for Singapore (Sentosa beach) with family for 'celebration' on Dec 30’Th, 2014.

At Pre-preparation
-Read PMBOK guide 2-3 times cover by cover, 'word' by ‘word’.
-I had decided not to refer no other books from day 1, as I have very short time to grasp
-Purchased 8 PM exam simulators from PM Prepcast

On Preparation
I religiously focused on this..
-Do NOT memorize any ITTO’s. (Important)
-Understand why each 47 processes are placed at respective knowledge areas , and how to utilize them (very important)
-Mind-map real life project scenarios for each processes of ITTO's - as what you will do 'now' or 'next' or 'post next' with each processes and why.(Utmost important)

I am celebrating now at Singapore. Wish you all great happy new year !!

Congratulations. Thanks for your post

Your LL are similar to mine... I also didnt use anything other than PMBOK.... it is more than enough to pass PMP with flying colours.. Also I didnt get a single question directly on ITTO...

Did you get any question on ethics... for me on December 26th I didnt get a single one....

Shaan, I also cleared my PMP on the 26th. Did not get any questions on the ethics. I am hearing this from quite a few people these days.

there were some on ethics for me .. few on ITTO's which were quite familiar  .. there were around 25 questions on maths as well
