Passed PMP EXAM today(4th Feb 2013) Excited!

Dear All.

Today I cleared the PMP exam  in the second chance  with 4 MP 's and 1 BP's. Thanks to all of  you guys help for making me to overcome this exam. When i attended first  for the exam in the last year , i thought i had prepared well for the exam and   realized after only written first exam in the first attempt. This time , i put lot of  effort in understanding the concept in depth(use Kim heldman) for second attempt.

First of all I wanted to say , Please don't spend too much time by studying  Rita'a book or PM Fasttrack. I depended purely on that for the first attempt and realised that it 's not even close to the actual PMP. This time I totally depended on the Kim Heldman book and also the Pmbo and our GREAT Rajesh Nair's/Ahishek's notes.  You two guys are awesome. Thanks a lot for the notes!. This will help PMP aspirant to have glance before entering to the Exam hall and also examination eve final preparation.

I strongly suggest all the PMP aspirants to read once Kim Helman book, whish is so informative and easy to udnerstand. My Scoring level for Mock Test (PMP Study) --> close toe PMP real exam, even some of the questions were present from PMpstud simulation test

Test1 70%

Test2  75%

Test3 82%

Test 4 76%

I wrote the last mock exam only on yesterday night and this boosted my confidence a lot.

Exam was bit tough today and asked lot of Mathematical questions/CPM/RACI Chart(asked which is the right task),RAM ,Adminsiter/Conduct proc tools and lot  from the Develop Project Team.

Once again , Thanks for all your help!

Thanks

Lijith

Its strange everyone recommends Rita and Fas Track and you are recommending against it?

Fast Track questions are not good?

In your first attempt did you read Rita together with PMBOK or only Rita?

Congrats again..

Hi , This time , I haven't read the RITA  book , instead , i read christopher Scordo and  Kim Heldman. In my opinion , its only worth reading one and only first time , before reading the PMBOK.

Congrats on clearing the PMP, even I got 4 MPs and one BP :-)

Congratulations to you as well!. Thanks

Lijith

Hey, even I got the same question on RACI chart, which is the correct task, still I dont know if I had answered that one correctly, how did you solve that question?

 RACI:

A task is incorrectly assigned if there are two people/groups made accountible..I think Suresh you can rememeber if you answerd it correctly/or not.

Below from wikipedia..

Responsible
Those who do the work to achieve the task.[7] There is at least one role with a participation type of responsible, although others can be delegated to assist in the work required (see also RASCI below for separately identifying those who participate in a supporting role).
Accountable (also approver or final approving authority)
The one ultimately answerable for the correct and thorough completion of the deliverable or task, and the one who delegates the work to those responsible[7] In other words, anaccountable must sign off (approve) on work that responsible provides. There must be only one accountable specified for each task or deliverable.[4]
Consulted (sometimes counsel)
Those whose opinions are sought, typically subject matter experts; and with whom there is two-way communication. [7]
Informed
Those who are kept up-to-date on progress, often only on completion of the task or deliverable; and with whom there is just one-way communication.[7]

Honestly, I am so excited about your success. Congratulations!. Meanwhile, concerning RITA I believe you didn't have indepth understanding of its content prior to your first exam or you used it as stand alone without combining it with PMBOK as recommended by many successful applicants. RITA is good!!. Congrats!!!!.

 Congratulations on your achievement!

 Congratulations!
