PASSED PMP EXAM ON FEBRUARY 8th
Hi all, I passed the exam on my first attempt on wednesday, I'm very proud for this result as I prepared by myself with no help from my company, I studied for 4 months from 10 P.M and during the weekend, (a finish to start relationship, as soon as children were sleeping I started studying...). I studied on PMBOK and using additional material provided by the on-line course I subscribed to get the 40 hours of mandatory training (very useful) than on Rita's book (fantastic) I answered more than 3000 test questions from various sources (O'really, Lehmann - very hard, Rita's fast track - very useful) with a rating from 72% to 78%. I tested a full 200 question exam twice in an uninterrupted session and I finished in 2 hours and half. During the last week I made the big mistake to visit various forum where I found terrible comments about how much hard the exam was become during the time. I read people talking about the 70-75% of correct answers needed to pass the exam (instead of 61%), and that in order to pass you needed to burn the test questions with a rating of 85-90%. I was very impressed about this an my morale was going down. Don't trust about these sources. The exam if you study enough and make test enough it's just as you expect: a hard exam but wih no surprises, the 90% of questions are situational, a few need for calculations but is something that you can do even without the use of calculator, there are no long questions (max 4 or 5 rows) and there are at least two answers that you can exclude. My advice is to bring something to drink and eat, (you must leave it outside of the test room) and take a break after 50 or 60 answers, I'm not a genious but I saved 30 minutes to review marked questions and I was pretty quiet. So study and test and don't be afraid. Have a good chance

Congratulation...
Hola Stefano,
first happy to hear you passed, second happy to read your view.
I actually have my exam in 1 week and I get totally scared reading the pass rates mentioned.
I perform moch test from different sources and some questions driving me crazy (explanation wouod be helpful). The worst are the questions which are exactly the same in different sources and have different answers ...
Let see how it goes, again congratulation for passing.

Hola eedapy,thank you it's
Hola eedapy,
thank you it's have been a hard day and 4 months hard too. Don't be afraid about the "mentioned" pass rate, the real information is kept secret by PMI and nobody knows what's the real percentage. I was in the same situation, some moch questions were absolutely "impossible" for me and I found different answers too, I can say in this case "trust yourself". I can advise you that as soon as you test yourself with different moch, and study deeply on books you can go confident, during the exam don't panic, if you cannot answer soon mark the question and get it back later, I'm not a genious but I completed the 200 in 3h and 30' having 30' to review the marked. There are no "monster" questions, not too much tricky, they just testing your knowledge of the theory and your PM skills, most of questions are situational but, if you studied, you can find the way reading the question with attention. Last thing: go phisically prepared (I don't know your age...) the 4 hours of effort are very hard, take something to drink and eat and take one or two breaks during the exam, they help to clean up your mind. Good Luck and don't be afraid
