Since I was the regular visitor of this site to inspire lessons learnt from other PMP candidates i felt responsible to write my own thoughts about the exam. 

I passed PMP exam after 3-4 month preparation period.

I think the most important thing about the preparation is getting to know the subject in detail from the beginning of the preparation period till the start of the prep test solving period. Hence there are so many people who may have strong technical backgrounds and pursue a career in PM may think that solving many questions will help pass the exam since the method is the computer based test. But i think understanding the subject deeply before moving to the prep test phase is crucial. The reason is the test is asking you questions in a way that you may hesitate which answer to choose and those questions will be the decider. 

I think at the end of your preparation period lets say in closing process group you may solve prep tests like, Rita, Pmstudy, Head First and this would be not less than 10 prep test since testing yourself in 4 hour 200 questions tests is very important for your brain to get used to the exam style.
