Passed PMP Exam - 2 Nov 2014

Just passed the PMP exam yesterday (the 2nd of November 2014) and wanted to share some tips with whoever wanna get certified.

Brief about the exam:
1- long! 4 hours with no "Official" break is a long time to sit and concentrate; so sleep well, eat well and practice the idea to sit and solve 200 questions 1 shot for 4 hours.
2- 90% of the exam is very straight forward (for those who studied well of course) you won't get too many trick questions, to the point that you start to feel like "something is wrong, it can't be that easy" but it is... one of the questions i remember was like "you have 15 stakeholders in the project, so how many communication channels are there?" ... not all the questions are that easy but not that hard like the mock exams I will talk about later.
3- Memorize all formulas for the exam; use the 1st 15 minutes introduction to write them down on the piece of paper you will get; will be easier to just look at the formula when you get the question instead of trying to remember it, your brain will be exhausted enough to remember after the 1st 100 questions
4- I was lucky enough to get most of my questions in the Cost Knowledge Area, again there were very straight forward (take care of the different formulas for the EAC and when to use each of them)
5- Don't panic! calm down, it is not the end of the world

How I studied:
1- I read both the PMbok and Rita(and solve the test after each chapter) before I took the PM training (it will help you clarify the points you didn't get on your own from the training's instructor)
2- After the training, the read both books again (Yes you need to read them twice), understanding the core of the PMP is way much important than solving mock exams
3- I have made 2 documents while solving the exams; one for the mistakes I make and another one for any new term or a concept I find out that I don't understand enough.
4- I solved the following exams:
a- PM Fast Track (each of the 10 knowledge areas then solve the PMP Super exam)
b- http://www.pmstudy.com/ (these are considered very hard compared to the exam) - there is 1 free and 3 others to pay for, I honestly bought the other 3 but I think you can make it with only the free one
c- http://www.oliverlehmann.com/ the 75Q and 175Q free tests (also considered harder than the real exam)

The best score I got in these exams was 73% (on the exam's eve) so relax, as long as you are above 70%, you are on the safe side.

I hope this helps; feel free to ask me anything.
Good Luck..
