Passed PMP Exam on 10th Feb
I Cleared the PMP exam on 10th Feb.
Overall the exam was not very difficult.
I used following books/material for the preparation.
1. Read PMBOK 2-3 times.
2. Read Rita's book and solved the exercises at the end of chapters.
3. Also referred Kim Heldman's book. The exercises and the mock tests in this book are bit difficult. But this helped to solve the few hard questions in the exam.
4. Solved the pmstudy practice test. I could score between 77 and 82 % in these tests.
5. Also used the Free tests from Head first PMP, could score 82%.
6. Chowdary's notes from the pmzilla site are very useful.
Observations -
1. Only 10-15 questions in the exam were complex.
2. 20-30 questions were very easy and were directly from the PMBOK. e.g. what is project cahrter? What is WBS dictionary, work package, risk breakdown strure.
3. For majority of the questions the correct choice is very easy to locate.
4. Understanding the key terms like Monte Carlo Analysis, Config management systems, types of orgnizations is helpful.
5. I found the difficuly level of the exam comparable with pmstudy practice tests.
6. Examples of Risk response planning, simple EVM, forecasting calculations.
7. The key to pass the exam is to understand the concepts, terms. No need of memorizing.
All the Best.

Thank you so much for sharing
Thank you so much for sharing your exam experience. I was thinking it's not humanely possible to memorize all ITTO's. Logic + process of elimination will be the key.
