Passed PMP on August 5th

Hey everyone,

I have been a silent but dedicated viewer and I want to thank all of you for the wonderful pieces on information that you put out on a daily basis, it really helped.

My Scores:

Initiating: BP

Planning: MP

Executing: P

M&C: MP

Closing: P

I took a week long PMP bootcamp course and studied the material when I got home every night to include practice tests that we were able to take thru the boot camp's test software. The following week a studied every night and took mock exams. The day before the exam I went thru Rajish Nair's notes. My only piece of advice is not to try and memorize anything other than the formula's and page pg. 43 of PMBOK. Try and understand the flow of ITTOs thru the processes. If you have any questions I would be glad to answer them! Thanks and good luck to all the aspiring PMPs!

Congratulations on your PMP Mike. So one more case of not memorizing ITTO. good to know that.

Yes, do not memorize. It will really cloud your brain with a lot of information that could be used in other areas. If you notice I got a BP in initiating. I really focused on Planning, Executing & M&C. By focusing on those three you will really see how the ITTOs interact thru them. In my opinion intiating and closing just feel like seperate entities. That doesn't mean they should totally be disregarded. However, the guts of the project is in those three.
