Passed PMP 1st Attempt on 02 Jan 2014

I am a silent follower of PMZilla, honestly speaking only I used to see the forums only for gaining self motivation.

For this accomplishment, sincerely I took 40 days of time { 1 month (daily 2 hrs) for rough preparation and dedicated 12 days for good preparation (daily 10 hrs reading + 4 hrs mock test + filling gaps)}.

My study process is a kind of mixed approach.

1) Read Rita 8th edition
2) Read PMBOK 5th edition
3) Around 7 Mock Tests. Among 7, one test is completely to check my ITTO knowledge.

The last 10 days are nervous and motivated.

Given on 02-Jan-2014, it took me completely 3.55 hrs to complete 200 questions.

A bit tensed after click on 'End'. Oops...I got satisfaction survey from my prometric center. Completed that Survey and kept my eyes closed for 5 mins to not see any weird thing in the computer screen.

Slowly I opened and noticed the message ' CONGRATULATIONS'.

Relaxed well. Prayed God and given thanks to my supporters and well wishers.

Few suggestions for new aspirants are-
(a) Answer questions related to Network diagrams and problems in last 1 hour. otherwise..it will kill your time and you will be tensed.
(b) either P, MP or BP doesn't matter. You PASSED or FAILED is matters.
(c) Though you secured 5Ps, PMI says that you are above average level only, but not completely proficient in project management.
(d)Because Project Management is an Art and Science. and you should be a 'Scientific Artist'
(e)The last one is don't think excessively on %s you got in Mock exams. I feel those are just numbers.

Dear Aishwaryanand,
Score only help you to understand to what extent you have understood PMP. Dear Friend My only advise to you is to understand PMBOK and each and every line of PMBOK would a question in PMP. And most important be confident,you will clear your exam.
