Passed PMP on 17th July, Lahore, Pakistan

Dear All, It was a great experience and here is my LL.  I got the training of PMP from SYSCOMP International a partner of RITA from 3rd March to 8th March, but due to my occupancy in one of my company project I was unable to start preparation of exam till June/July. Early in June I started preparation for the exam using following material  - PMPBOK, 3rd Edition- Rita Mulcahy PMP Exam Prep 2005 Fifth edition- Rita flash cards (also known as hot topics, for quick review, to remember key things) - Rita PMP slides (Presentation which they have provided us in class) - Method to calculate float from HeadFirst( its quick and easy) In meantime, I have submitted my documents and got approval to submit my exam fee and as I submitted my documents I got an email from PMI stating that my application has been selected in a random audit process ( They select 10% applications in random for audit purpose) and I have to send them my bachelor’s degree, training certificate, PMI audit forms ( PMI send me these forms, these forms contains my project details which I submitted to the PMI, and they require verification, signatures from person with whom I worked on relevant project(Manager/colleague), in a sealed envelop.  I submitted my bachelors degree copy, training certificate copy, and sealed envelops by my managers to the PMI, after submitting my documents I got confirmation to schedule my exam.  I scheduled my exam on 17th July at 13:00. I had 2 revisions of PMBOK and RITA before taking the exam; I also used PMFAST TRACK (excellent exam simulation) and transcenders (it’s very necessary to practice and complete 200 questions in 4 hours)  On the day of exam, I just revised formulae and birds eye view on input/outputs/tools and techniques (for these I have also used material available at PMZILLA).  At 12:45, I entered the examination center, It was very calm and cool place J, I was feeling a bit nervous. Exam center team checked my identities and on verification I was allotted a work station and given a calculator, 6 papers, 2 pencils.  At 13:00 exam startedJ, I brain dumped all the formulae and page 70 of PMBOK (It helps in many situational questions) during the tutorial time, tutorial time is 15 minutes (Remember: don’t press end tutorial button, otherwise exam will be started immediately). At the start of exam I got many lengthy questions, these were time taking and in first 60 minutes I was able to answer only 60 questions  then I changed my strategy, I started to mark questions for review whose length was more than 3 lines. I completed my first pass in 3 hours and 10 minutes, and then I reviewed questions. I completed everything before 10 minutes, including review, but I didn’t pressed the end exam button and let the time passJ. After completion of 4 hours I have seen a message on screen (“You ran out of time”), I pressed OK button and after some moments I seen a congratulation message. I got 10-15 earned value questions, 5-10 related to input/outputs/tools & techniques and almost 5 questions on delegation. Best regards,Muhammad Awais, PMP
