Passed PMP on 16th Dec'15 - Meiyazhagan

Hi all,

Its wonderful to share my experiance, as i read lot of peoples experiance about PMP prepration & their success stories in this forum. I am a silent member most of the times but did some post & solved  some questions. Its my plan from last four years to get PMP crtified, preparing from 2010-11 onwards. but continuation was not there. i use to prepare for month and got busy in some other subjects every time.

In mean time , i am married, become father. but my dream was pending. once i gone through that, the exam is going to change, PMBOK getting revised, i wake up and plan to achieve dream , set target by Dec'15.

Its a very nice perpration journey of two months, only concentrated in PMBOK. I didnt bought or gone through any other book. I strict to the basics, understand the concepts, read the PMBOK for 5 times.Did some practice questions inbetween.

Pmzilla is very much supportive through my 5years prepration journey, as i read success story of other people, i got energized and motivated to complete certification.

The practice exams i gone through are from Exam central, simpliilearn, oilver lehman, headfirst. In all the practice questions instead of concentrating on correct answers, i focussed & clarify on areas where my understanding gone mismatch. I grasped knowledge gaps. No need to memorize ITTOs, just understanding their existance in kowledge area is important.

Hard work always pays, yes on the exam i did well & confident that i will sail through.ITTOs are very less, Risk questions are more, almost 20 Qns arthematic. I finished exam on time with three breaks ( as the exam hall is very cold)

i opted for paperback as its less costly and i have no urgent to get the certification. with next 5days of my exam i got a mail by evening 6pm, "congraulations". i took a deep breath and thanked god.

I am extreamly thankful to my wife Anandhi Meiyazhagan & naughty son harshith for their support during my prepration days. The time i use to spent with family is less in week days, in that too, i started studying & the time i spent with them gone very less during prepration. Yes now i am happy that i could spend some more time with them.

My Lesson learned gone little lenghts as like my prepration. Its my suggestion from my experiance, anyone with two months of study, concentration on PMBOK can pass the exam. Please contact for futher information.

Regards,

Meiyazhagan

Congratulations. How was the questions math/wordy

The Maths questions are simple and direct most of the times.

How to calculate sv, cpi, cv, spi, tcpi. there may be unwanted values are given to confuse. we have to choose right values to get the answers.

In Quality Management area also we get maths type questions, it require analytical skill & presence of mind to pick right one.
