Passed PMP on 14 October
I have cleared my PMP certification today, with 3P's and 2 MP's
A summary of my experiences in the last 3 months :
1) Start with Rita Mulchay or Head First, to be sure of that you understand what each knowledge area is all about.
2) Follow up with Rita M questions , just to ensure you understand what is asked.
- - - But the most important point and which you just cant ignore is
3) PMBOK is everything, just keep this in mind, if you are through with PMBOK 3-4 times , its enough. Every single line is a question prospect and whilst giving the exam you will realize why i said so :-)
4) Different type of questions prepare you well for the exam, so just try to do as many as possible, and refer PMBOK for any knowledge gaps.
5) Head first Cost management chapter + Rita M Network Diagram questions will cover your numerical needs.
Recommended free mocks are : Simplilearn, Head First , PMStudy, EPMC ( In the same order :-) ) , that doesnt mean rest are not good, but these are few of those which checks your PMBOK knowldege comprehensively.
Believe me its not as tough as it seems.
And finally a sincere thanks to this forum for bringing together all the experiences.
If you have any questions throw them @ bhupendra.bora@gmail.com
Thanks !!
