Passed PMP on 12.10
Hi, I'm quite new in this forum, just enrolled last week, but wanna share the good news. Took the exam last tuesday and I passed. Have Proficiency in Init and Planning and Moderate in the rest.
I know many put their LL on how to prepare to the test, and all of them have good tips. What I wanna mention is just after that you study the book you want: PMBook, Rita, Head, ..., make a lot of simulation. On tuesday I was quite confident because has made at least 10 complete exams: Rita's: PMPs and SuperPMP, Head, Oliver Lehman, Cross Wind, ...
Rita in my opinion seems very close to the actual test. The exam in my opinion was not as tough as I imagined.
Take care of the following topics:
- EVA formulas, undestand the result of CPI, SPI.
- QC Tools & Techniques, understand all of the 7 TT, not memorize but understand when is used each tool.
- Risk response strategies, understand the concept and associate when to use each one, I make the following association. Question are related to situations.
*Transference: Insurance, Mitigation: Reduce, Avoid: Delete, Accept: Contingency reserve.
- If you don't understand something, ASK. This forum is awesome, I have some doubts in QA and QC and received good tips and explanations.
And be sure if you study, simulate and understand the logic of the process you have a very high chance to pass it. Don't be nervous during the test, beside me were two people very anxious previous the exam, and unfortunately they missed it.

Congratulations javerose on
Congratulations javerose on your PMP certification. Thanks for sharing the LL here. I agree that taking more simulation tests is good way to get confidence. I would just add saying that take the tests closer to your exam date.
