Passed the pmp

Dear All,

I achieved my PMP cert on 27/4/2010. First many thanks to every body in this forum and every body who aided me in obtaining the pmp cert .

My first attempt was on 30 June, 2009 which was 3rd edition based and was fast tracking attempt and was failure. I was bit disappointed and realized need to have more commitment in preparation. With the desire to achieve the objective, I decided to go for a second attempt, so I started my exam preparation on Jan 2010, I narrowed my focus to PMBOK 4th edition (i read it about 4 times including annexes and glossary) and kimheldman 5th edition i read it only one time.
I practiced tons of Mocks and full 200 Qs simulated exams like:
1- http://www.effectiv epmc.com/ simulated- exams (also it contains daily beneficial questions)
2- http://www.pm- abc.com/Free_ Simulated_ Test.asp
3- http://www.pmstudy. com/index. asp
4- http://www.pmbootca mp.org/
5- http://www.headfirs tlabs.com/ PMP/free_ exam/
6- http://www.edwel. com/edwel- blog/pmp- free-practice- questions. html
7- http://www.simplile arn.com/simplile arn/pmp_exam
8- Oliver Lehmman 175 Qs exam
9- Rita fasttracking supper pmp exam
10- PassPM - Online Project Management Training

My Average score in final phases was about 74: 85%
On the day before the exam day i relaxed and flip through my own notes and quickly i reviewed the PMBOK guide. On day of exam I went early 8.15 am for the scheduled time 9.00 am,i presented my passport as per the test center stuff request(Advise: Read PMI Credential Handbook and PROMETRIC IDENTIFICATION POLICY Decently and take into consideration if the required identification documents isn't present to the test center stuff they can turn you away from the exam so take care). Then I entered into the exam. I noted down all the formulas (but i didn't back to them during the exam), I answer first 100 questions then i stopped for about 5 minutes then i resumed the questions answering.
i marked the calculations based questions for review and some other
Ambiguous questions about 45 questions (advise: during your preparation try to reduce the marking as possible you can)
Finally it took me about 3, 30 hours to complete my exam. The remaining time i checked that there no uncompleted questions and reviewing the marked questions. I clicked end exam button, the i got the prometric
9 questions survey i answered the questions. When I clicked OK, my screen went blank, flickered and took time to get processed. Finally I saw the message "Congratulations" and I am very glad to see that.
Really it is challenging experience and during preparation gave a good perspective/ exposure of knowledge applicable to our day to day real life. I am really proud to say Yasser, PMP

My advice for all PMP aspirants, stick to the PMBOK, because there is no other material can replace the PMBOK (read it line by line as possible). Also try to memorize the TT as you can. Finally practicing a full 200 Qs exams and discovering the weak point of your preparation is your key to succeed.

Good luck,
B.Regards
