Passed my PMP on Jun 4 in first attempt
I passed my PMP exam on Jun 4, 2011. I got Proficient in all KA (except one)
I did not read ANY book other than the pmbok guide (no Rita, etc). I did not pay for any online class or any online practice tests. I did take almost all available Free PMP questions from various websites - I was doing about 400 questions in one day for about 2 weeks incl weekends. So I took about 6000 PMP questions.
Lesson learnt: I did two mistakes that you should not do:
1. When I first started studying for PMP back in Dec'10, I read the pmbok Year 2000 version - this is really old and quite different than the current pmbok. So I had to unlearn everything from the older pmbok first. Don't make this mistake and always start with the latest pmbok.
2. As I was solving the 400 sample PMP questions daily, there were many questions for which I did not quite understand why the answer was the answer provided. Either there was no explanation provided by the website or it was too brief or confusing to me. I did cut/paste into a word doc for all such questions which I did not understand. In this way, I had collected a long list of questions on which I needed help. However, when I posted in Pmzilla and other forums, NOBODY replied or helped. I think people get overwhelmed with too many questions. Lesson-learnt: Post no more than 2 questions at a time on forum - or better still, just one question at a time, if you expect anyone to reply.

Hi RajatFirstly
Hi Rajat
Firstly congratulations on your PMP. I think your LL is quite good observation. If there is a long list of questions people do get overwhelmed and dont respond. Thanks for posting here
