I cleared my test on July 3rd, 2013 with 2 P ( Planning and Monitor-Control) and 3 MPs. Preparation time 1 month,this includes 16-17 hours of study over the weekends and 3-4 hours during weekdays after work. It was very challenging and must say couldn`t have done without the support of my family and my 2 year old.

 

One thing I would like all the PMP aspirants to know is that this test/exam is not of memorization but all about understanding the processes,tools and techniques, knowing what to use when.For the exam,I tried to memorize ITTOS but couldn`t so continued with my plan of understanding each process and their respective ITTOs. I did not get more than 6-7 direct questions on these and most of the time the answers were very easy to pick.

 

On the exam,I got lots and lots of questions on Quality,Procurement,Risk and HR. 10-15 Math ( EVM,Time,CP,PV,NPV) questions, some quite tricky which I could not solve and some easy.So practicing math will help a lot.Even if you get 80% correct you could gain good amount of points.

 

All in all, this exam requires lot of study and dedication,but its achievable.
