Hello everyone, I cleared my PMP exam yesterday on first attempt, got 2Ps 3Mps, I will share few notes with you,

My preparation:

Rita (extensive studying, 20 Days)

PMBOK (extensive studying, 15 Days)

Rita Again (Crashed, 5 Days)

Mock Exams + PMBOK Again

Rita 3^rd time (Skimming, 2 Days)

Focus on what need to be memorized, theories, ITTO, ( 3 Days)

There was some lags, but overall studying time was 3 months,

ITTOs:

I didn’t memorize them, what I did was the following,

I printed the pages on PMBOK where all processes ITTOs of a knowledge group are, (65, 106 …..)
I wrote next to each main I/O, how it’s connected to other processes, this gave a good understanding of the interconnection between all I/Os,

As for the T&Ts, understanding the overall process helped me understand how most of them are being used, but however, I printed just the T&Ts and where they are used, made couple of passes over them, thing like PMIS, Record Management System, Information Management, system, they were very confusing in the beginning,

MOCK EXAMS:

I didn’t purchase any mock exam, but did most of the free exams, I was able also to do two FASTrack exam on my friend’s laptop,

Overall, I solved about 2500 Questing, ranging between easy and hard, overall percentage was about 82%

Real EXAM:

It was actually easier than expected, most of the questions, you can easily eliminate two of the four options,

Questions are well writing, eliminating the issue of misunderstanding,

I had 3-4 questions on Three-Point estimating, the questions gave no clue if I should use PERT on Triangular, which was confusing, this is why I did calculation on both ways, and chose the best match.

I had few questions with so much extra information that is not related to the question, keep this in mind, sometimes you waste time doing calculation and drawing diagrams to find that the question is asking about something totally unrelated.

As for the time, it’s enough to solve all the questions and review the marked ones.
