Passed on 10th Dec
Hi All,
I have passed PMP exam in my first attempt on 10th dec. This forum is one of the really helpful forum to gather information specially LL from other guys. Thanks to all of you and this forum.
Preparation :
PMBOK guide (2 times)
Rita's 6th Edition (2 times)
Headfirst (1 time)
Prepared a hand wirtten notes which I used to revise daily 15 days before my exam.
Mock Exam :
Rita's Fast track 2 PMP exam : got 76 and 77% (one month before the exam)
PMStudy (free exam ) : 76%
Oliver (75 question ) :77%
Pmzilla (25 question) : 44% (i was socked to see result on this one but i took this exam casually and didnt realize that these are touch ones :) )
Simplilearn : 69.5 %
Oliver (175 question ) :81%
HeadFirst : 89% (one week before exam and my last full length exam.. neve thought that i m donig very good but i know that I m ready )
Last week, i was gonig throgh fast track questions only KA wise and revising my hand wirrten notes ..
Actual Exam :
Actaul exam was as good as mock tests. But major differnece I have seen that It didnt have a single question outside of PMBOK course.(I mean that no question on extra stuff added like HR theory's and all ). I believe that most of mock test cut your marks because they have some questions which were outside of your PMBOK even Rita's guide knowledge.
Most of the Questions were situational but not very long. most of the questions were 3-4 lines which is good so you get actual base info. There There were 10-15% straight forward ITTO questions and 4-5 questions on formulas.
I started slowly in exam which happens with everybody (early nerves). Finsihed 15 ques in 15 min. But recovered in next 30 min and in first hour i have done 68 quesion.I calculated my speed in between and got an idea that i will have one hour to review so i put around 65 questions for review. I finsihed exam in 3 hours and 1 hour i reviewed the questions.
My proficiency levels are :
Initiation - Moderately Proficient
Planning - Proficient
Executing - Proficient
M&C - Proficient
Closing - Moderately Proficient
