Report performance in Closing Project or Phase?

 Hi,

which of the following regarding performance reporting is correct?

a. it is done during project planning and project execution

b. it is done during project planning and monitoring and control

c. it is done during project monitoring and control and project closure

d. it is done during project executing and project monitoring and control

answer given is c.

But in the PMBOK 4th I could not find anywhere that performace reporting is done during project closure (it is done during close procurement)

thanks

But answer choices are process groups and not individual processes..so project closure includes close procurements..

 Hi Geethika and sspawar,

many thanks for the answer.

I found this report performance is very confusing. In the PMBOK 4th is it not mentioned neither in the Close Project or Phase nor in the Close Procurements, right? So in my opinion Report Performance is only done in Monitor and Control process group..

Also, from the same RITA questin set I found the following similar question:

Performance Reporting is important during Administrative Closure in order to:

-a. show progress made on activities

- b. communicate the team's success

-c. gain the approval to start the lessons learned

-d. prove performance acceptance has been achieved

answer is b. with the following explanation: Performance reporting during closure shows progress made on projects, not activities. Approval is not needed to start the documentation of lessons learned. Such reports are used to gain formal acceptance, not to show it has been achieved. Overall, performance reporting in administrative closure communicates the success of the team.

So it agains point to performance reporting to be done in Closure Project or Phase

This is confusing to me, can you help to clarify?

thanks!!

For me and it is also commonly understood

That

Report performance/ performance reporting/distribute information=== is major discrepancy of PMBOK4.
