PMP Question on unsatisfied stakeholders
Submitted by Renji2013 on Tue, 03/26/2013 - 08:12
Hi, Can some one help me in this trial question
You are managing a project to extend a runway at a Heathrow airport. However, after working on the project for nine months and holding weekly status meetings, many of your stakeholders are not satisfied with the deliverables, even with a SPI of 1.0 and a CPI of 1.0: Which of the following phases was not done properly?
Define scope, change management, collect requirements, manage stakeholder expectations

Will go for
I will go for stakeholders expectation mgt. I know that while collecting requirement stakeholders comes with many requirement and some of them even don't falls in my project, I am going to say "no" and saying no upfront helps to manage their expectations so that what ever happens wil happen early. So in this case delivery did not meet their expectations as they were expecting too much and pm never level set with them that created the problem.

What I am thinking this
What I am thinking this question is:
asking
Which of the following phases was not done properly? it should be processes. if ignored and go on the options:
By PMBOK definition of MSE: is a process of communicating and working with stakeholders to meet their needs and addressing issues as they occur.
this process is being attended(done) , as those are being listen in meetings.
but they are not satisfied with deliverables,--- it is the reaction by them during that process.
It means MSE process is not done properly -- option D
----------------
alternatively it can be said:
Which process, project team could not done properly because of that dissatisfaction arose during managing stakeholders expectations.
by PMBOK definition of Collect Requirements: is a process of defining and documenting stakeholders" needs to meet the project objectives.
so IMO = defining and documenting stakeholders" needs is not done properly, thats why, this situation arose.
option - C
-----------------------------
might be C or D
