I am in my final preparation for PMP.

I have a question regarding critical path in PMP exam.

I have seen on different ressources two ways to calculate early start and early finish.

Some saying that early start = early finish of previous task

Other saying  early start = early finish of previous task +1

At the end you have these two results with :

task A 5 days and task B 3 days, B following A

=> If  early start = early finish of previous task

task A ES=0 EF =5

task B ES =5 EF = 8

=> if early start = early finish of previous task +1

task A : ES =1 , EF =5

task B  :ES = 6 EF = 8

These are just tow ways to display it. As at the end it does not change the project duration (8 days).

My question is in PMP exam which representation is used ?
