Assuming that the critical path of your project has a duration of ten days, all of the following could change the project timelines EXCEPT:
1. If the project has one critical path, you are able to decrease the duration of the critical path by one day by using a new tool.
2. If the project has one critical path, you have to increase the duration of the critical path by one day due to delays.
3. If the project has two critical paths, you are able to decrease the duration of one critical path by one day by using a new tool.
4. If the project has two critical paths, you have to increase the duration of one critical path by one day due to delays.

 

Q2

You would like to compare the costs involved in the current project with other similar projects done by your organization in the past. This will help in developing costing alternatives and tradeoffs and aid in preparation of:
1. Activity duration estimates
2. Cost estimates
3. Cost management plan

 1 --1 --- critical path could not be decreased by any scheduling tool, but  can be increased. whilst 2 critical paths are if there one can be made non critical by decreasing its duration where other one path comparatively will increase than the original by resource reallocation/levelling.

2---3 --- comaring of 2 costing can help in managing the current project. while other options are 

1 -ADE - Already done

2 - EC - already done

3 - BUE -its a method

Hi Pawarji .


As per my understanding this question is asking about which of the four actions doesnt make any change in the Project Timelines ( Schedule ) . Here the project schedule is 10 days .


so the first Option says you are able to decrease the schedule by some new tool which has already happened . It may be like compressing the CP with the risk of cost \ schedule or Scope . And obviously it made a change in the Project Schedule ( End date )


And if take any other option apart from 3 does makes a change the project end date . Coz for option 3 they mentioned about 2 critical path with 10 days duration  and compressing one will still make the project end date as 10days .


So my best choice is  #3


Please correct me if im wrong .
