Close Phase/Project

I've got the following sequence of activities in Close Phase/Project (Closing Process Group) in Rajesh Nair's notes:

1. Confirm work is done to requirements
2. Complete procurement closure
3. Gain formal acceptance of the product
4. Complete final performance reporting
5. Index and archive records
6. Update lessons learned knowledge base
7. Hand-off completed product
8. Release resources

However "Confirm work is done to requirements" is part of Verify Scope process which falls under M&C and not Closing process group.  Can anyone throw some light on this? Whether it should be part of Closing or M&C?

Confirm work is done to requirement it talks about Product verfication. Verfiying that all product related work completed. Verify Scope talks about formal acceptance to the scope from customer or stakeholders.

Now scenario little modified

May follow PMBOK 4 p100 -- administrative closure activities - step by step

and this thread- http://www.pmi.org/en/Certification/Project-Management-Professional-PMP/...Domain v. - Closing,

P99 also p 102 - project closure documents

Infact even "Gain formal acceptance of the product" seems to have been done in Verify Scope as per Page 102, PMBOK 4 - "During Project Closure the Project manager reviews prior phase documentation, customer acceptance document from verify scope process."

So During Close, PM review not Gain acceptance.

Thoughts ?
