Passed PMP today
Hi All
Today I sat and passed the exam. 4 Profficents and 1 Mostly Profficent (Closing).
To sum it iall up if you do a lot of study and lots of practice exams you will be fine. All up I estimate I probably put in about 100 hours over about 3 months.
Dont get caught up too much on the results you get in the practice exams. I did Oliver Lehman 175 questions 4 days out from the exam and only scored 125 when it is reccomended you get 131. Similarly I did a lot of practice (about 20 hours totoa) on pm-exam-simulator and only scored as high as 74% on practice exams (which according to pm-exam-simulator.com is a fail).
I would personally recomend the pm-exam-simulator.com. Yes it about $80 from memory but the questions are good and it is a good way to track which areas you need to go back and pay more attention to. Also the explinations to the answers are very straightforward. I do remember getting a bit frustrated with some of the random free exams you find online which seem to have outdated Q&A or answers that are not translated in to English that well and dont seem to make sense.
If you read Rita and PMBOK a couple of times and are comfortable with the concepts you should be fine.
Good Luck to all those currently studying.

I found the first 30
I found the first 30 questions (especially the first 3) quite tough and a bit unfamiliar. Next 70 were very straight forward and felt like I had answered them before in test questions. I had a break at 100 questions and a quick snack. Next 80 questions were again pretty straight forward with the odd question that threw me a bit but I did my best not to get rattled and carried on. The last 20 questions I was pretty much over it by then as it is pretty exhausting.
I had marked about 20 questions and almost made it through all of them again before the time ran out. I definatly used the whole 4 hours reading each question about 2-3 times before even looking at the answers. From my practice exams I knew that when I made mistakes it was from rushing and not reading the questions properly.
Good Luck
