Clarification needed in Verifying a product

- Verifying a product meets the specifications, is part of the closing process group.


It think this should happen in the monitoring and controlling group as part of quality control process

It seems you are talking about Verify (product) scope, which happens during Monitoring and control.

Quality control process occurs before the verify scope.

Quality control process focuses on the respect of quality standards (e.g. number of defects) as opposed to verify scope that focuses on the respect of acceptance criterias and project objectives.

 Yes it is also a part of close project, as a pre phase of input  - accepted deliverables, though it is processed in monitoring and controlling process groups 5.4.

output of verify scope is an accepted deliverables.
