Dear All,
One of my friends who recently passed PMP exam told me that there will be a change in the exam format after August 31, 2012.
I tried searching for any similar news both on this forum as well as in the internet, but could not find any.
Can you please let me know if there is going to be any changes in the PMP exam format after August 2012.
Regards,
Rishi

No changes in PMP exam from 31-Aug-2012
Hi Rishi,
There is no changes in PMP exam from 31-Aug-2012. The changes was on 31-Aug-2011 and its already in place since then. The change was “PMI Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct” that was a separate exam category has now been removed. There was industry wide debate with PMI why question on “Ethics and Professional Conduct” were being asked separately having known that “Ethics and Professional Conduct” should be applicable to all project phases. That’s what PMI has done the question for “Ethics and Professional Conduct” is now included in the 5 process group (IPEMC) and not separately. This is the reason why PMBOK v4 still remains the same, as syllabus of PMP exam has not changed.
The Next PMP exam changes:
PMBOK Guide, 5th Edition will be released by end of calendar year 2012. PMP Exam usually changes about a year after the new PMBOK Guide is released.
Therefore, you can expect the PMP Exam to change as per PMBOK Guide, 5th Edition specifications around end of 2013.
Hope this helps for you.
