Question on how to handle change

Hi ,
I am going through PMBOK and HeadFirst PMP book. I am somewhat getting confused with change management process.
a
Let us take a hypothetical scenario. Say I am working on a IT Product development project. Midway through the project, I get a change request from the client to add a feature to the product. Now what should be the process to process the change ? As per my knowledge, this is what I think should be happening.
1. I should ask to submit a change request straight away. I can't approve or reject a CR based on feasibility or impact. That responsibility lies with CCB.
2. Once CR is received, I need to do a detail analysis of feasibility and find out the impact on scope/cost/schedule. Then I need to go through Perform Integrated Change Control process. Here CCB approves or rejects the change.
3. If it is approved, it takes me back to Direct and manage project execution where approved change request is an input. But before I do that, I need to go through control scope, control schedule and control cost process. There I will do variance analysis and update the baselines if needed.
Please let me know if I am wrong or missing some steps
Thanks,
Debasish.

What about point 3. is it
What about point 3. is it the correct order. I mean once CCB approves and before you implement the approved change we need to perform control scope/control schedule/control cost ?
