Cleared PMP on 26th July in first attempt

 Hi all,

Glad to inform you that I cleared PMP yesterday.

I am thankful to all members of PMZilla as it was one of the important source of live interaction for me.
I took around 4 months to complete exam right from filling up application form to see the printed copy of PMP  certificate.

It was a challenge to manage study in my busy work schedule and family commitments, sharing my LLs without  going too much into that.

I was dependant on PMBOK(read once), Rita's book (Read 2 times complete + 1 quick pass) and PMZilla posts. I  used to answer whatever questions I could. I did not use any paid exams, instead used many free ones. Here are  some of them:

I used to study 2.5 -3 hours a day on weekdays and around 5-6 hours on weekends.

one good source of information was notes from Sridhar:

ITTO/formulae: If one thinks its all about mugging up ITTOs and formulae, he/she will fail. I did mug up around  50% of ITTOs and basic formulas.(which helped to answer around 15 questions on exam).

I don't think exam is very tough, if you have basic flow between processes in mind, you are done. I did a big drawing at home which helped me understand basic interaction between processes. Also jotted down my own notes  from time to time. I will advice this over using someone else's notes as writing down yourself helps to  memorize.

All the best for future aspirants,
Rahul.
