Reporting tool to Senior Managment- PMBOK & Rita

 Hi All,

           If you see the Develop schedule output we have both the Milestone charts as well as bar charts.PMBOK says that the best way to report to Senior management is by using bar chart as it is easy to read and present,where as Rita book says it is best to use milestone charts and bar charts are used for reporting with in the team. Which is right?? Has anyone noticed this. Please le me know.

I think the distinction is that PMBoK says that Bar charts are typically used in Managment presentation. For Senior managment presentations, you may want to make it more consice and use milestone charts.


However for purpose of PMP just remember that bar charts are used for management presentations.
