Can we prepone the PMP exam
Submitted by Haleem on Fri, 07/11/2014 - 03:37
Hi all,
Initially I was supposed to give my exam on 24th June.
However due to some reasons I had to postpone and as I had to give a date I chose as Oct 6, I now feel that its too late and would like to appear in the first week of Sept.
Is it possible to pre-pone the date.
I haven't seen such a post so far, so decided to take opinion before I make a call to the customer services (PMI).
Any feedback would be welcome.
Thanks
Haleem

Changing PMP Exam Date
The closer you are to the date of the exam the more costly it is. Right now you are fine. They only charge you a penalty 30 or less days from test date. Here is the policy:
Within 30 Days of Your Appointment
If you reschedule or cancel your exam within 30 days of your scheduled appointment, you will be charged a fee of US$70. This fee helps to ensure greater seating availability at Prometric Testing Centers since candidates who wait until the last minute to reschedule or cancel their exams are "reserving" seats that could be used by others.
The fee will be charged when you go online to Prometric's website to reschedule or cancel your exam within the 30-day timeframe. The $70 charge will appear on your credit card as a charge from Prometric.
If you wanted to take it sooner you can move it to a sooner date by going out on the website and doing so. You shouldn't have a penalty to do so as you are more than 30 days either way.

Call Prometric
Yes you can, but I think you would want to call Prometric directly to reschedule. As another person posted, there may be a fee but only if it is within 30 days of the exam date.
