Final preparation suggestions

Hello,

I have my exam scheduled on this Oct. 30th and only a few days left to prepare for the same.

I have given 2 full length tests (Head First and PM Study) but scored around 70% in them.

I have been studying from the following books.

Rita Mulcahy Exam Prep v6 (studied once, played some of the games and completed all exercises and end of chapter questions)

Andy Crowe "The PMP exam: How to pass on your first try" (Read once and completed end of chapter questions)

PMBOK guide 4th edition (Read twice)

Please let me know what study plan should I use to acheive success on the PMP exam?

Any help is highly appreciated.

Andy Crowe's book comes with the 5-day pass to the InSite exam prep.  Try to answer at least 20 questions from each knowledge area from Insite.  It looks like you've read enough reference materials. You should be able to tell yourself whether you're ready and have really understood PMI's PMP concepts.  If your weapon is that you've memorize the points in the books - I'll be a little worried.  I only read Andy Crowe's book and answered the questions from it and the free Head FIrst practice set.  I managed to pass during my first attempt.  Key is understanding the concepts.

Read the questions carefully during the exam and make sure you understand what's being asked.  For questions that you think are difficult or tricky, there's always one obvious wrong answer.  Take that one out, then pick the BEST answer from the 3.  Mark and skip questions that are difficult.  Do not stay too long answering difficult questions.  There are at least 20-30 of those in the exam.

Stay calm, stay calm, stay calm during the exam.  Make sure you get enough sleep the night before the exam. Scientifically, the brain functions well when it's hydrated, for all its worth, drink plenty of liquid - water.  :)

Don't forget t o pray... especially as the computer starts tallying your result... it was the longest 30 secs of my adult life!  :-D

that will help, Thanks !!
