I feed confuse on study after 1 month ...
Sorry about my english first, i speak chinese.
I study the PMBOK 5 and HeadFirst 2nd (for PMBok4, but seem still promising) in parallel.
almost 1.5 month, i studying the Risk management in progress.
But i feel confuse because i understand the meaning on PMBOK and headfirst,
i understand and memorize the calculation (EV,PV,CPI or FS,LS) etc;
i understand the diagram, and i google much to find explaination.
I read PMBOK as a novel and clip the summary as my study notes.
But i feel confuse...
Is it really the correct study plan? Just read and study in forward.
I don't memorize the ITTO, as specially the detail.
If a question in Exam ask me like:
1.On the outputs of Identify risks, what should be update in risk register?
2.What is the Input of Control Cost in Project Cost Management?
I wouldn't be know the answer....
After i finish the PMBOK and head first, i will start Rita Exam Prep and get some exam simulation.
So do anyone give me some advice in study plan?

I recommend three step study
I recommend three step study plan, where you start by knowing the PMBOK content after that you get in details of each area , i term this stage as Master... and finally you start taking lots of practice tests... which i term as practice...
Here is a video on PMP study plan which you might find useful

The fact that you are getting
The fact that you are getting confused implies you need to prepare more and spend more time on knowledge areas you feel uncomfortable.
Your plan is okay, Readh HeadFirst , before PMBoK and then Rita's book. You will be okay. You can even read Rita side by side with PMBoK.

For me Rita's is the best
For me Rita's is the best prep book.
You should read it twice. Also i read PMBOK 2 times (briefly the second time).
For me the key objective is to UNDERSTAND not to MEMORIZE. If you understand why you got a question wrong, then you will answer right this and SIMILAR questions next time.
Memorize the formulas, some motivation quality theories; negotiation techniques and then DO A LOT OF exam mocks.
I write every question i got wrong and study why.
That's my plan anyway.
Good luck ¡
