The best prepration materials choices for first timers

Dear all,

First of all i am very glad that i join this great site.

Well, i have recently cleared my ITIL exam and now i am planning to take the PMP exam. I will be very gratefull if you could suggest the best prepration materials for the first timer.

Thank you very much for your kind consideration.

Hi -COngrats for ITILYou may check my LL & study material at my Blog below http://sachinvehale.blogspot.in/2014/01/lessons-learned.html

1. PMBOK 5th edition

2. RITA 8th edition

3.Head First PMP - I used ekendle version.

I would recommend first start with Head First PMP because it explains in very simple and easy terms. Then go for PMBOK and finally read RITA cuz this covers based on exam point of view and additional concepts from exam point of view.

Read the LL and posts by other PMZilla members you will know.

Congrats Nagica :)

As far as PMP preparation is concerned, i would suggest you to check LLs on this site on routine basis. This will really help you a lot.

Coming to books, PMBOK Guide Fifth Edition is mandatory, u can however also include Rita Mulcahy for better understanding.

Solve as many practice tests as posssible, and last but not the least you must have a firm study plan with you.

I also sharing below the links to some of the blog posts i really liked about pmp exam preparation. Go through...you'll find them helpful.
