Intended to read the pmbok abd rita but didnt manage to. Did 4 days of intensive study, I.e. 12 hours each day. Approach was to speed read the pmbok chapter by chapter and make very targeted notes. No more than 60mins per chapter. Produced mind map to relate groups, processes and tools and techs. Did some tests after each section. Took the exam today (5th) day and was surprised to pass. 

IT PM for past 8 years working for a company that closely follows PMI prescribed methods. I guess that must have helped!
