PMP Exam passed
Hi All,
I cleared PMP after procrastinating for long time. I read PMBOK at least 4-5 times initially I felt it like sleeping pill, but later I found it interesting after trying to understand the relationships between each knowledge area. I scored Proficiency in 3 of the domains and Moderate proficiency in rest of the 3 domains
The materials I recommend- PMBOK, Andy Crowe Or Headfirst. I don’t recommend Rita as I felt its overkill.
I felt like key for clearing exam is
a) having good knowledge of ITO of all the 42 knowledge areas
b) as well as understanding basic things like Project Documents, Project Schedule vs Schedule baseline, QA vs QC, Project file, Project status etc etc
c) Also don’t neglect Project framework and Professional ethics.
d) Do take practice exams like Rita fast track or PMstudy.
Following are the practice tests which I took
- Oliver 75 questions – 80%
- Head First PMP – 88 %
- Oliver 175 questions – 74%
- PMSTUDY 1 – 92%
- PMSTUDY 2 – 87.71%
- PMSTUDY3 – 88%
- PMSTUDY4- 86%
- Fastrack – around 83-87% in all the knowledge areas
- Effective PMC -85%
- Simplilearn – 85% ( I don’t recommend this test as I felt like some of the questions very wrong)
