I was in the same boat like you as my memory is really really bad....but i used logic and commonsense to connect the dots and then mock exams also helped me with this task
logic and practice, practice, practice! Good luck and I cleared the PMP today!!
The ITTOs are important for the exam although you may see only 1 or 2 questions that ask you explicity "what is the input/output." Where they help is for questions that describe a tool/technique and ask you what process you are in, or the "what will you do next" questions. There are many of these types of questions on the exam.
One thing I did was record the ITTOs as a .wmv and then download it on my Android. I listened to it in the car to and from work, during lunch, before bed, and whenever I could. I began to learn them almost like you learn a song. I couldn't learn them 100% but enough to be able to understand the processes and use the logic to answer the questions on the exam. Use the logic of the processes and you should be fine.
After looking at Tina's comment I realized that I missed one tip...I downloaded ITTO game on my iphone and played it with when ever I can ....that also helped me...i think it was $4..worth the investment
For mastering ITTO, you should be able to have the big picture in mind (connect the dots) so that it is easy to remember and answer questions. The questions in exam try to test whether you understand the process flow (analytical skill) rather than rememberence power. But you stil need to remember all basics.
Remember the following few -
1) For all executing, monitoring & controlling, closing processes, project management plan is input.
2) For the triple constraints - control scope, control schedule, control cost -- work performance information is input. The only executing process where it is input is Perform Quality Assurance.
3) There is a direct relation between work performance information and performance reporting process. Go through this relation thoroughly. Note that, work performance information is output from Direct and Manage project execution but for Monitor and Control project work, performance reports is input.
4) Procurement documents - an output from Plan procurements is input to Identify stakeholders
5) In Scope management and Time management processes, the outputs from one process is a direct input to the next process. The only exception is the following - Estimate Activity durations do not use "any" output from Sequence Activities.
6) Go through the process flow diagram in PMBOK for all processes - this is a MUST to do activity to understand the inputs/outputs more logically. This helps a lot in exam.
example - Plan Quality uses all the 3 baselines as input. This means that before quality is planned, the scope, schedule and cost processes should have been completed.
7) There is an indirect relation between quality assurance and quality control processes. Quality control measurements an output of quality control is an input to quality assurance. This means that, quality assurance and quality control go hand in hand.
8) Although project management plan on the whole is an input to many processes, you should be able to clearly know what part of the it is being looked at.
9) Remember what comprises of EEF and OPA. for example - Skaeholder tolerance, PMIS, Work authorization system are part of EEF. All control procedures like change control etc are part of OPA.
10) Expert judgment is a tool for all integration mgmt processes.

Interesting ITTO technique!
I find your mnemonics very interesting and i just grasped them instantly in one read!
If you have more of such ITTO idea, would you mind to share with us please?
Thank you!
