Mathematical questions in PMBoK 5
Submitted by ashwin on Mon, 07/15/2013 - 06:35
I am planning to appear for the PMP exam around September / October time frame and since it will be based on PMBoK 5, I would like to understand if there are any differences in the mathematical calculations based questions in PMBoK 5 as differed from PMBoK4? Please advice. Thanks.

I don't believe there is any
I don't believe there is any change to the mathematical portion of PMBOK. All the comparison reviews that I have read point to changes in processes and the addition of one new knowledge area - Stakeholder Management. Nothing related to calculations seems to be different between the two editions.
I'll venture a step further and say that one can pass the upcoming, new PMP exam even if one studies from PMBOK 4. Getting a 5P score might be tough, but one can pass using PMBOK 4 even after the new exam takes hold.
Disclaimer: This is just my opinion and I am NOT recommending anyone follow this approach.
Regards.
