Newbie - Have a few questions

Guys,

I plan to take the exam next month. I have read Rita’s book twice and reading PMBOK now. I have couple of questions from you experts:

1) I see people here have taken exams from PMStudy. How was your experience? Worth it?

2) I see Exam Central has around 800+ questions. Are they similar to what you see in the real exam?

3) How many numerical problems we should expect to see approximately?

4) How many ITTO problems you see? Ex: Output of Identify Risks etc?

5) PMPforSure – is it marketing gimmick that people here gagaing about that or people have found it genuinely useful?

I suggest you use materials and resources from reputable institution, dont be fooled by some kinds of ads... you may read some threads and feedback here, otherwise, you will just be misled. I think, since u have the one from Rita + PMBOK, this would be fine. then do practice tests. Practice tests doesnt mean if they have many questions then its good. Passing the actual pmp exam requires a deep understanding of the PMIsm, and correct interpretation of the questions. even if you have tried million of questions but you were not able to learn how to decipher the question, still u wont pass the actual exam.

From what I have seen on this forum

1) People find PMStudy worth the money. 2 tests are sufficient

2) Not sure about ExamCentral. But my guess is as quantity increases, quality decreases. There is no need to buy 800 questions all from 1 source. Thats like putting all eggs in 1 basket

3) Anywhere from 1 to 15 I guess

4) You can find some reviews here. Not really sure if its gimmick. But its new so it will take some time before we get some good number of reviews for people to decide.

Thanks admin.

How many ITTO should we expect?

Hi Trawal: This is the question for which noone can answer at all. It varies from 10-15. It can also have only 2-3. ITTOs questions may vary, however, it is an integral part for passing the exam. If your exam. If your exam is approaching soon, try Brainbok. Else PMBOK is ok. For questions, try PMZilla tough questions. Try PMPforsure, Rita. Be confident on pmbok. All the best. KK...

Thanks KK.

I am going thorugh with PMBOK now and will start taking exams when it's done.

I hope that would be enough to pass the exam.

Just took the PMZilla's 30 questions tough free test and score 53%. Ouch. Silly mistakes were made in 2-3 questions.
