New Exam - Did not pass the 1st time, need tips

Hi,


I took the PMP exam on Oct 1st and Failed. I felt my exam went well and was quite surprised to see my results.Do you need to be Proficient in each Domain Area to pass the test?


Below are the details of my results.


Initiating the Project - Proficient
Planning the Project - Moderately Proficient
Executing the Project - Moderately Proficient
Monitoring and Controlling the Project - Moderately Proficient
Closing the Project - Moderately Proficient


I need help and tips on clearing the PMP exam the 2nd time.

My friend got this in Feb this year and passed...

Initiating the Project - Moderately Proficient

Planning the Project - Proficient

Executing the Project - Moderately Proficient

Monitoring and Controlling the Project - Below Proficient

Closing the Project - Moderately Proficient

Professional and Social Responsibility - Proficient

Sorry to hear that. Just a tip in case it helps someone. We had launched PMZilla 200 questions  around 18 months back, since then there is not a single person who has passed PMZilla test and failed the real exam. So maybe it could be one of the things on Todo List for people who have failed or are concerned about passing.

I took my exam on 12th set and I received my result from the PMP exam and all domains were Moderately Proficient on 7th oct. PMI changed the PMP exam score? Could be a glitch?

This is surprising.


When I wrote prior to 30 August 2011, I obtained 3 Mod Prof and 3 Prof subsequently getting the credential. A friend of mine also took the PMP on the same day and scored Mod Prof in all areas and passed. I am assuming a rebaseline could be to blame....

Sorry to hear about all of those who failed the new PMP.

Like many others I scored Moderately Proficient in all areas and failed.

I'm curious. Of those of you who had Moderately Proficient or above and failed, how many of you had zero Professional Responsibility questions? I know that was the case for me - I had zero Professional Responsibility questions.

It's as if a portion of us were given the old exam with six domains, with the sixth domain, Professional Responsibility, removed. Then we were scored using the old six domain scoring system.

In my case, then, I received Moderately Proficient in five domains and Below Proficient in Professional Responsibility, the sixth domain,  because I had zero correct because I had no questions in that domain.

Five Moderately Proficient plus one (very) Below Proficient in Professional Responsibility would likely equate to a fail under the old system.

Now I got another email saying I am passed. Sorry for the issue. The issue was due to the third party vendor processing. So I am guessing others will get an another email. So please don't loose hope
