**Network Logical Diagram - Question***

75.

You just created the following network logic diagram to describe the planned flow of activities for your project which will start tomorrow:

Which potential inconsistency in the diagram should you solve right now?

Activity E is open ended ( a "dangle") in relation to the finish milestone path convergence.
Activity F is open ended in relation to the path divergence after the start milestone.
You cannot calculate a critical path when lags and/or leads are calculated in percent.
Activities E to F need another task drawn as a hammock to calculate level Of effort.

I have no clue , how to address this one ?

Please advise..

Actually here is lead in activity F, by 60% of duration with finish of E.

It means when F will start, E will be required to complete its 60% job and thus activity F is not its successor activity and when activity E will complete it would be considered as an open ended. But all activities or network should be converged at finish mile stone.

Hence activity E should be made connected to the finish mile stone directly by one arrow. =This is what you have to solve or to do. - this is what he is asking.

other options are nearby making just fool.

 Thanks SSPawar..nice explanation ...

I do not understand your answer.

Sorry, how do you help interpret the diagram. And than what is the question asking?  I am REALLY confused on what this question is asking and how to solve it.

Thanks.

Ok, I must be a simpleton.

How in the world do you know that E dangles? We know that there is a 60% lead between E-F, but since we don't know the duration for E or F, we do NOT know that F will finish prior to E finishing, which I believe is your premise.

For instance, if E is 10 days and F is 10 days, then F will start after E is 6 days in. E will then end after four more days and F will finish after another six days.

I must be missing something simple here.

Last of all, the PMBOK references are of no help! They don't talk about dangling activities, leads as percentages, convergence, or any other of the key words used in this very confusing and limited use question. Sorry!

Can you help me understand?
