Need your help

Hi !

I am preparing for my PMP exam which is scheduled for mid of Aug.  I take lot of time in reading the questions in sample tests.  Though I have not appeared for any simulation for full 200 questions, but still I am able to do around 40 questions in 1 hr.

Kindly help me how can I increase my speed for reading &  solving the questions.

Regards

Hari

Hi Hari,

The more questions you solve the better you will get at it. Your speed is less since you take time in understanding the question and then reading the options and analyzing each one. The more questions you solve the more quickly you will be able to grasp the question and thrash out the obvious wrong choices

Right answer can be selected by

1. Elimination meaning because other choices are wrong , the remaining one must be right.

2. Knowing the right choice

3. Some choices are just absurd , straight away one can know its not correct.

At some point you want to take the full 200 Q practice tests.........between 4 and six times i would say. The 4 hour exam is an endurace challenge which you should be prepared for.  I did mine at the same time frame that i scheduled my exam for. In this way i was conditioned for duration and time of day.

if time management is an issue, give yourself less time. force yourself to no more than 1 minute per question. For me i took tons of practice tests and would even do 20 q's during dinner, 50 q's afte the kids went to bed, etc. Sometimes i would just try to see how many questions i could do as fast as possible. Going fast will cause you to make mistakes, easy mistakes, but in review you will learn to watch for those things you overlook when under pressure.

Brainbok was a site i  went to for quick  testing on various pmp exam topics.
