Need help with application audit

I applied for PMP certification and got notified recently that my application is being audited. In my application, I had claimed 40 contact hours for the project management training I received during one of my previous employments (about 4 years ago). I've maintained contact with my colleagues/supervisors and have no problem getting them to certify my past project management experience. However, I'm having hard time getting a letter certifying the project management related training from my ex-employer. I'm wondering what my options are...

If I can't get them to provide me a letter, would it help if I take up one of the courses recognized by PMI now and include their certification as a proof?

Experience letter cannot be substituted by PMI Training. You will have to get the letter from your employer as mentioned by PMI audit .

If you need some exception or alternatives, contact PMI support directly

Hi Shz,

I am new to PMP Exam, and willing to apply for the exam to PMI in coming days. I would like to know from you that what kind of requirements did they ask you to submit in audit process??, I have to prepare my self if the situation come like you for audit.

For everything you claim in your application(education, experience, contact hours etc), you should have authentic documents to support that and the references you provide should assert that when PMI contacts them as a part of their audit.

Hi Chandra,

Thank you for your explanation about audit. I would like to know how many years of experience need to show in application? Actually I have 13 years of job experience. Should I need to show all my experience in my PMP exam application or is it enough last 3 or 4 years in which it covers  4500 hours of experience?

thanks -mab
