Need advise

 Hi friend,

I am confused on whether to write the exam next week. I have been waiting for this day for the past 2 months. I have done a decent level of prepration. Lessonwise test I am getting a score of  65%+ but when I attempted full mock test I am only getting an average of 55%+ ( Only 2 attepmted ).  I know where my knowledge gaps are, I know the concepts , But I can't connect the concepts(What comes next ,What is the best thing to do ?, Also the tools and techniques). Also simple formlua questions is a piece of cake but the tough one are something which I want to avoid.  What should be the best strategy moving forward...Postpond the exam next month and focus on the gap areas OR should I go for it next week.

Hi mathewtvm – I am not very much convinced, please pardon me for my discouraging words, but I should speak in the best interest for you.

When you take a test based on chapter its 75% easier because over half of the hurdle is already not needed i.e. your scope to understand the question restricts to one chapter that you already know in advance.

In PMP exam 30% of questions would be very tricky, around 50% good situational and 20% direct questions. Again, this rule does not apply to all, but on an average it does apply.

In short, you have about 80% of questions where after reading the question (situation) you will have to apply your knowledge and common sense and narrow down questions to right process group and then think about the IITO its being said. This is how majority of real PMP questions would be. I am not sure, how strong are you to tackle this.

You say you have studied well, which is good. I would advice spent some more time and attempt like 50 or 100 questions daily from some mock test providers and judge yourself. Practice would make you perfect and would bring confidence in you and then I would suggest you taking the PMP exam.

Think about it, make your own judgment as you know yourself the best.

Please take more sample tests from reputed sources and try to score 70% plus. Then you can be sure if you are ready or not.
