Need Advise
Hello All:
I'm taking my exam on a week from now (March 12), but I don't feel very confident at all.
This is my situation:
- Took part of a study group for 6 months, we did not go as deep as planned, we used Kim Heldman book.
- Because of work I have had so little time left to study as needed
- About 2 months ago I started trying to read and do some pratice exams. I have not scored in average at all.
- I found this site a month ago, I heard about Head First and read the complete book last week, I did good on all the practite areas test (80% in each chapter)
- Went through Kim's book again and doing the PMstudy examns but hardly scoring 60 to 65% on the exams. Most of my mistakes are based on lack of knowdlege on process areas. ITTO mostly.
My problem:
- It took me 2 months of convincing with my managers to get time off to do the exam. I have the entire week off until the exam date to study and I'd really like your advise on what would the best way to study and do a good exam would be.
- I've been going thru the Pmbook info over the last 3 days but it's been overwheling since I've spent 8 to 10 hours a day studying which I think may not be the right approach
- Unfortunatly this may be may only chance to take the exam in the near future.
I'd really apprecaite any honest advise and apologize if this is such a short notice request for help.

If you are not comfortable, I
If you are not comfortable, I would advise that you postpone your PMP exam. There is no need to rush, if you fail, it will affect your confidence.
If you must take the exam then take 3 to 4 practice tests from different sources. PMStudy, Rita, PMPerfect, PMZilla are good ones to consider. Check your score and knowledge gaps. and I am sure between now and exam date you would be scoring much better.
