Need Advice as i Failed to clear PMP on my First attempt

Dear All,

I gave the exam on 30th July 2013 and i failed with 3M and 2BP (Initiation & Closing)..I studied really hard for the same and tried almost 3500 question with 6-9 mock exams through many free sources and never got below 67%,highest beng 83%.I studied Rita and many other journals for concepts and knowledge but truly speaking i never even read PMBok ever.

I am not sure what hindered my progress.I have again book my rexam schedule on 24th september but i am not sure what is the strategy to follow as  never thought i will have to prepare for PMBok 5th edition.

I would sincerely request all of you to help me with your inputs as i want to DEFINITELY clear it on my second attempt.Please help me with all the resources.What are the changes being made on PMBok 5th edition and where can i get the material frommy preperation, which books to follow and free resource,ITTO charts and mock exams which include the latest examination format...

Please Help !!!!!!!!

                                                                                 Many have cleared PMP without reading PMBOK guide. Per my experience understanding of PMBOK guide is most important. You should have it read atleast 3 times before your next exam.

Rita lacks many thing from PMBOK, hard to believe they ignore things that are important. Going to exam without studying PMBOK is a known risk. Study the book till you like it ;)
