Managing time answering the questions
Submitted by JM on Mon, 11/14/2011 - 20:37
Greetings,
I failed the exam the first time around and it took up the full 4 hours. Each time I take a practice exam now, it also takes me the full 4 hours for 200 questions down to the second. I am trying to decrease the time to answer the questions. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Several people that did pass said that they made a quick, educated guess on all math questions, marked them, and came back to them again later.
Does anyone have a time strategy that works?
Thanks!

Not all questions would be
Not all questions would be tough, there will be around 30-40% questions which you will feel quite confident, answer them quickly and move on. Only mark the questions for review if you really think coming back and thinking about it is going to change your answer
In my opinion review is like rework, and takes up time, personally I would want to solve it in first go and mark only 10-15 questions for review
Practice tests are precisely to increase the speed and you should be completing 200 questions in 3 hours in such tests so that in real exam if you need more time you have it at hand.
